Facebook friend requests from men in Turkey and Syria... but why?

I get random facebook requests from a lot of foreign guys. They're not really old or creepy, but it's still pretty weird so I just click "ignore". For some reason I get the most requests from guys that live in Turkey or Syria. Why is this!? Why do they want to add me?
