Need help with boiler quickly please?

The sink and bath in the bathroom is blocked and every 30 minutes or so the boiler makes a loud rumbling noise for a few seconds then stops. We've not had the heating on for a few hours now as don't want to cause any additional problems. What is wrong and is it dangerous
